Abstract
Trochlear nerve palsy is one of the most common causes of vertical strabismus. Common etiologies include trauma, microischemia, and congenital anomalies. Infratentorial tumors causing trochlear nerve palsies have also been reported. However, supratentorial tumors have rarely been reported to manifest trochlear nerve palsy as an initial symptom. We report a patient with trochlear nerve palsy, accompanied by intermittent headaches and papilledema, due to supratentorial meningioma. Our case suggests that supratentorial tumors may cause trochlear nerve palsy as an initial manifestation.
